We just got her last week. She has not had a shy moment in our home. She immediately started to attempt to befriend our 7 year old, but was rejected - which did not deter her.

There are no wounds on the pup - not even a bruise. The 7 year old is extremely jealous and very depressed. She is walking around with her head hanging - not looking at my husband and myself, and not eating. She lays on the couch facing the seat cushion instead of the room. She has stopped her seemingly never-ending quest for squirrels.

My husband is afraid she'll kill the puppy, but she hasn't yet done more than snarling and snapping. We don't want her to be in the position where she is guilty of harming a puppy. After all, she's our girl.

I am in TX and we just an 8 week old female tri. She's lovely, smart, and has a sweet disposition. We got her from the breeder that we got our 7 yr old from. Unfortunately, our 7 yr old will not accept her. We have come to the conclusion that we need to find another family for her. We do not want to give her to just any one. We would like to give her to someone who can appreciate Basenji nature.
