  • Found red/white, "Clark the Shark" near Seattle

I have wonderful news… Clark's (new name Pharoah) owner contacted me today, sending me picture and all kinds of info about his personality... My shock was to find out that he was not the lady I GAVE him too (She breached a signed contact)... He PURCHASED Clark from her 6 months prior ($200)... the lady didn't tell him he was deaf, or that he had a microchip to switch it over... I just about had a cow when he told me this... Aparently she placed him less then and month after I placed him... I'm irrate... she didn't even bother to call me or anything just sold him... She didn't even tell the kid that he was deaf (what's really funny about it, is in the 6 months he's had Clark he didn't even know he was deaf)...

I've been talking to him ALL day, all he does is brag about how Clark is such a sweetheart and all the cool things they do together, they are a match made in heaven based on what he's told me....We're making plans to get together so I can see him.. and I plan (with his promise) to keep in contact with me so that he something happens and he can't keep him I'll get him back this time...

Just thought I'd let you all know he's home... and thank you for all your help...

Oh and we're also in the process of getting the chip switched over to his name...

    Thanks
    Rachel

No you didn't sound critical… I took it as putting the peices together...

    @sharronhurlbut:

So you got him from this breeder who is in Alaska?
    QUOTE]

Yes I mentioned that when you picked her up… I tried emailing her about her papers and all that but she never got back to me... I also asked her about taking her back or helping me find a home for her and she said that she didn't have time to pay for her to fly back as well as post her up for sale again... I was left with no other choice

You have a deaf boy? I just picked up a girl who was with a woman who through no fault of her own became homeless.
Could this be the second b she had??
I live in Silverdale…seems you must be a neighbor.

I had a Deaf Boy…I bought him to show just like Jazz (who you picked up the other day)...When I found out he was deaf I placed him into a forever home that could spoil him rotten...

I didn't know about the conditions of her house until after I bought Clark... It was my first show Dog... As well a Jazz so Lesson learned...

I've met alot of great people in my arrea that show so If I even decided to travel that road again I'll know who to talk to...

When things settle out with me I'm going to Foster and Adopt this time...I can always get a puppy later...

Congo is from New York if you go on to Breeders.net (I think) her ad was on there last I checked… She breeds the blues...

Congo has been Fanconi Tested... I believe the lady that gave him up asked me what it ment to be infected... that's why I mentioned it...

The 1 others I'm thrilled to hear they are okay... Like mentioned before I wish I would have known... I would have taken them off her hands gladly... I would have found good homes my self or given them to BRAT...

    They are siblings...

And she talked about breeding them together... I think I know were she got them from but I doubt the breeders know that this is the life there puppies were living... If I can recall I've talked to both and both asked exstensive (spelling sorry) questions about the homes... The lady lied to them, she even lied to me, said she'd been raise around B's and been breeding them for years.. (lesson learned, my B Boy turned out to be deaf)...

If you could post the pictures I'd love to see how they are doing now... Congo Looks 100% Happier in the pictures that I saw then what I EVER saw him at her house...

Believe me It's a Big stress reliever to know that BRAT took him… I just got news about the other 2 going to the humane society so I'm hoping BRAT was able to get them as well...

I know Congo personally… I know who his breeder is and the lady that's had him the last year or so... I KNOW HIM... I'm curious about the other 2 B's that lived with him... I never met them but I know it was a male and female, the male was brindle and named Taz...

Congo is about 11 months old so not yet 12 months... He lost his eye while a bigger dog attacked him not from the breeder... The lady that had him was a BYB and when I was there had over 20 dogs...Even time I visited she had different dogs and the older one would be gone (she never said were they went)... She had an older B Girl (the mother of my baby) that was put down because she wasn't social...the litter (my baby's litter) died because she over wormed them... The place was horrible when I was there, dirty, the dogs were always outside with not attention or stuffed in crates with WAY to many other dogs, one time she even had a 6 month old female in the yard with all those males and was in heat, the poor baby got bred to a HUGE male...

I was so worried about Congo and the other 2 B's in the house when I found out that they were going through a devorce... I don't know if you are aloud to or even know about Taz and the little female but I'd love to know they are okay too...

I'm glad Congo is okay... He's a VERY Sweet Boy and very loving, he loved to play with my B when we had play dates...

By the way I can't remeber correctly but I think he's a Fanconi Affected (not 100%) both of his parents were Carriers...so Hopefully you guys test so that the new home knows for sure

  • What does a good front look like?
    D Ducati457

Can someone please send me what a good front looks like? and a few pictures of ones that have flaws on them so I can compare and see? I've a very visial person so it would help me under stand what you guys are talkin about when you mention thing about Jazz's front…

  • Would love your guys opinion again
    D Ducati457

Okay so I found this girl for sale today and wanted to know if you could give me your opinion again… She's Fanconi clear because her parents are... she's born 12-12-07

    Her parents are...
    Ch Eldorados Olivier
Am Ch Visit-To-Sisco Out of Africa

From what I can see from the picture…Comparing her to Jazz... I like her front assembly better (but I don't know if it's because she's stacked better), it has a good lay back...Hindquarts and tail set look good (look alot like Jazz's)...Good topline and neck...I also think she has a better transition then Jazz does from her topline to her neck...I love her tight little feet, so much better then Jazz's...She also has a shorter back...and she doesn't seem to have to much white like Jazz...She looks to have pigeon toes in the picture...I love the width of her chest to...Her head peice looks Balanced as wel... She has a good shelf... I can just make out the wrinkles on her head, but it's hard because of her color...

Any brutal option is welcome... I'd like to show her, and Like to know also if she's better then Jazz in Quality... Again I know it's hard from pictures and also because Jazz is a year younger them her but hey...

  • Could you give me your ideas on my dog
    D Ducati457

Kathy I was the lady there at the Bremerton Show… You looked at her pedigree she's out of Dune's Pleistocene Hera, and Moonlight N Amber's Crash Bandicoot... The lady in Alaska... I do plan to show her... When is the EBC Puppy Practice? I'll look on the website to see if I can find information

  • Could you give me your ideas on my dog
    D Ducati457

I'll get a show side shot, as well as a rear and front shot… hopefully that will help you eval her... I did notice when I posted the picture up that her front was off so I'll try to fix that with these next ones, she's still learning so... She was born Dec 18, 2008 so she's about 8 months old now... I don't know her dementions, and don't have a tape measure so I'll have to got buy one...

Oh and nomrbddgs please be brutal... I dont expect her to be perfect, I just like to hear what people's opinion is on her so I can learn what to look for in a dog and what's not good...

I'll post the pictures in a little bit

  • Could you give me your ideas on my dog
    D Ducati457

Okay so I finally got a recent picture of Jazz Stacked and would love to know your opinion on her… Well as good as you can with a picture, I know it's hard to tell from a picture...

This is what I see, she's lacking depth in her chest, and she's got very big ears... I was told she's kinda long in the body and face, but it looks like it atleast Balances so it doesn't look funny... Oh and all the white is distracting, it makes her look like she's got a longer neck then she does...

I'd love to know your opinions

UPDATE… HERE'S A FEW MORE PICTURE OF JAZZ

I'm not liking her stacked picture but she wasn't wanting to pose for me, but it's a better look at her front… and the rear picture she's leaning...

  • Trying to find a Breeder
    D Ducati457

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to get in contact with the breeder with the prefix Dune? I'd prefer email… If that have a website or anything would be good... My Jazz is from his lines and I'd like to do some more research on them.

  • My Basenji is growling at Everyone
    D Ducati457

Okay so many questions to answer…

No she's not left alone with the kids ever...
She's under a year old and isn't spay... I purchased her to show...
Her last check up was 5 months ago when I shipped her in from her breeder...
No I haven't thought about contacting her breeder about the problem...

I was thinking about contacting a trainer about it so I think that's what I'll do... She's a great little girl other then this one problem, but it only happens when she's like comfortable on the couch and they go to move her to touch her... She doesn't snap (thank god) but growls and runs away from them...that's the only time that she growls

  • My Basenji is growling at Everyone
    D Ducati457

Jazz recently has started to growl at everyone when they do something she doesn't like… She doesn't growl at but at everyone else... I think she might think she's dominate over them... Having my boyfriend get his dominance back with her he can do but I really don't know how to establish the 7 and 10 month old... Anyone got any Ideas..
