My friend adopted a pup from a family that thought it was a shiba inu, but it's not fluffy at all.
We had never heard of the Basenji until someone mentioned it, so I know nothing about them.

She's about five months, probably 18" tall and a little under twenty pounds.
She's extremely energetic, but can show surprising control especially on command.
She also has a straight tail and barks, a relatively regularly bark.
She also makes a weird high pitch sound when super engaged with certain toys.

She looks like the GIS pictures of a Basenji to me, except for that tail. I was hoping maybe a more experience eye could rule it out or confirm it.
