Dear Laura,

I am so sad to hear of your loss. The awful pain we feel when a pet dies is a reflection of the intensity of the love we had for them. Please allow yourself time to be sad and grieve. Savannah will probably be sad as well.

I live in south-west Pasadena. I sometimes walk my dogs in the Arroyo or Eaton Canyon.

So far as I know, they are still happening. When I went, an animal control officer demanded to see proof that my dogs were currently licensed. So, if you go, take proof of licensure with you.

It looks like about a 30 minute drive for me–well worth it to meet other Basenjis!

I live in Pasadena. I would love to meet other Basenjis. I have a 4 yr old Basenji who is friendly and playful. Mellie is a rescue who appears to be 100% Basenji, but I have never seen another Basenji IRL, so I have no comparison. She sure sounds like a Basenji :-)

We walk regularly in the Pasadena Arroyo and Eaton Canyon. If you are interesed in joining us (me, Mellie the B and Sophie the Rat Terrier, and sometimes a friend and her Chi), let me know.
