He's about 2 years old. He's 14 inches high at the shoulder and 16 inches long. Hind legs are about 17 in. Here's about 16 lbs. His one front elbow seems to bow out a little. At this moment, no vets are taking new pets, so having to wait for his first check up. Just wondering what this could be from and what we can do to help him in the mean time. During play, a zoomy moment, he wimpered at bit when he bent that leg wrong. He's able to run incredibly well and fast and plays like crazy. So it's not a medical emergency. His hind legs stand about an inch higher than his front legs

@rugosab no doggy odor at all. He's so funny. He even rubs his ears like a cat with both paws lol. He's a catdog😂

@giza1 yes. She was a sharpei dachshund mix. Her breed was very prone to cancer, which took her anyway at the age of 17. We had her on a special home cooked diet to help prevent and then treat cancer. That's the only reason we're curious about our new babies breed. Would just like to know anything he may be predisposed to health wise.

He's very gentle with food. Let's me touch his feet, kiss his belly. Very mild mannered. Of course he does crazy zoomys and gets a little riled up. But I can tell him no nicely and he calms down. He doesn't respond to any words, only actions and the tone of your voice.

He's around 2. All we know is the husband dropped him off saying he was allergic to him. I agree with the not playing right now. My son is 6'3. So a big enough guy to scare a 18 pound baby. Rocky is a little under weight and skittish of sudden noises and movement. He doesn't know any commands or even his name. I kept his name because it was his name for 2 years. I didn't want to confuse him more. He acts like he was constantly crated. I close the door at times so he can socialize with the family. He's great with females

We've had our guy for a week now. He's a truly amazing boy. However, he fears my adult son. He can be playing with him, then suddenly charges and and goes for biting. Not play biting. My son is an animal lover and gentle with Rocky. Any suggestions on how to help him understand his big brother won't hurt him. The aggression always occurrs when I'm in the room.

Just curious about his breed. Our baby girl we had for 14 years was sharpei dacshhound, along with other things. We learned the sharpei are prone to cancer. We cooked organic food for her and bought her special vitamins. We had her 17 years. Just like to know any issues he may have later in life that we can help prevent0_1589672636937_received_265698314137886~3.jpeg0_1589673244822_IMG_20170223_222825.jpg

@rugosab not sure just as yet. Haven't bathed him. He's definitely not a stinky boy. He keeps himself pretty clean, even cleaning his paws after a walk.
