Wow, what great shots! She is growing very nicely. I think the face shot captures something essential about the B personality.

Butter wouldn't melt. LOL. That does really sum up the pitch!

wiflouks welcome!
Your new pup looks adorable. Sorry for only 10 years! Keep posting those pictures

BrandX,
How are the pups getting along? I love the X-files reference with B's. They always seem to travel in a different dimension than most other creatures and the truth is always over the next rise!
Have great fun
Great Pics Janneke. Either you have a long lens or Lycia actually ran into the camera!
Cali is a littermate of Tenji. Her full name is Beaubri's Devine Diva. Sire is Beaubri's Diamond In The Ruff and Dam is Beaubri N Terrarust Bellagio.
We took a walk/hike today. Working on that leash training!
Haven't posted here for a while as my wife and I have been traveling a lot. Fortunately, not at the same time so one of us could spend time with Leo.
Well…at the end of Feb we drove to Buffalo and I went to the Toronto airport to pick up Cali. She is the newest addition to our family. 11 weeks old then. Dark brindle.
We also transported a litter mate named Kenny.
Leo came with us and was a bit non-plussed at first.
After the drive back to NJ we introduced Cali to her new home.
She seemed to adapt quickly
Like all puppies she is a bundle of energy and then bonks.
It took about 3 days for Leo to really decide that he was going to do more than tolerate her.
Of course she thinks Leo is the Bee's Knees and he is doing a wonderful job of letting her do her puppy thing without going too far.
You'll notice that most of the shots are at rest
That's because their favorite game is to go out back and run back and forth across the hill in our backyard at full speed. Or to get the 9 pm crazies! I'd forgotten about those.
Having the time of our life!
Cali, the girl in the pink collar says hello to Tenji, green collar?
I love the video and picks of Tenji. Barking????

Welcome M_Canadian,
We recently adopted an older (3) dog from Beaubri B's. They were previously in B.C. but now are in PEI. Leo is one special boy, (aren't they all :p). They are very careful about where they place their B's, which is very smart for this breed.
How is living with Border Collies?

Welcome Julie,
Three B's, I'm impressed. More than two seems like such a challenge.
Trailer park to city! LOL big time. I think they might actually think such things:p There's not another breed I'd rather play second fiddle to.
Welcome and enjoy your very debonair B.
Combs, pens yes, especially toothbrushes! I always thought they were bone alternatives. Plus combs and pens smell like us and the Bs know their not supposed to do that which is a bonus. I've never seen them go after water bottles or other random plastic. Now soft paper! Like paper towels etc. That is great fun. Plastic and paper is also great. Once Cody got down stairs when my brother and family were visiting. They had two boxes of Huggies down there. Cody was so quite for a while. We found him downstairs and my sister in law yelped "It's a huggies massacre!" He had neatly "shredded not chewed" the contents of both boxes.
Thanks for sharing folks.
Yeah, the plastic thread and this one are kinda related, aren't they.
Basenjimama. Did it ever cool off?
I'll try the IKEA toys, but it is funny how different dogs like different toys. Our first two would parade around with a new fluffy toy for a week or so like they were their new best buddy. Then it was shred time. If there was a squeaker after only a few days they would work like bandits to get the squeaker out and then kill it. Nasty old squeaker!
Leo doesn't seem that interested in fluffy toys. We've had a stuffed penguin and "hot dog" in the family room for a month now. He mostly could care less. Yesterday we were up in the guest room and of course he was on the bed pushing the pillows around. He's not normally allowed in that room. He froze… He had spotted a teddy bear sitting next to the bed. He stared. I touched the bear to move it. He jumped and stared. Repeat a few times with two humans chuckling in the background. I put the bear on the bed, he cautiously checked it out. Decided 'it's not alive' and went back to pushing the pillows around.
They do look great together. Bana and Otis look so peaceful. Such friendly warm behavior will certainly help Bana find a forever home, wherever it is.

Welcome blackalf999, I think some of the Bs bark also. At least one woof and then look around to say "Who did that!":D
Welcome Bart!
That window shot is a classic:) I think you'll find a bunch of people who share the Basenji curse/passion here:D
Hello and welcome to the forum. The Bs in the UK and US sound pretty similar:D We have a 3 year old called Leo. They do mellow some but hang on to their true nature.
So it is!
This site is a great find. I'm ROTFLMAF at some of the posts.
mauigirl and Carrie,
What a beautiful pack of Bs.
MDSPHOTO,
Welcome! This is a great resource so if you have questions just ask, I'm sure you'll get lots of info to digest. Wishing you luck and humor as you begin your foray into the strange, amazing world of Basenjis.
