Thoughts about feeding a raw diet?28 Jan 2007, 17:55I've been feeding my boys raw since they were puppies. Mostly ground beef, mixed with two spoonfuls of regular canned dog food, freshly chopped broccoli and carrots and scoop of plain yougurt. I throw in a raw egg once a week and often mix in chicken stock if I'm boiling chicken for myself. Cottage cheese once in a while as well.
For snacks they both LOVE raw baby carrots!
In the summertime they get raw chicken necks and wings to eat outside.

Where did you get the african to english names from? I've been looking around and can't seem to find an african to english word translation dictionary around.
My male basenji's name is "Khafra" who happens to be an egyptian Pharoh. I'd love to find a source for more african names to pick from before I pick up my new girl in February.
Thanks,

Hello to all you fellow Basenji lovers!28 Jan 2007, 14:52Hello everyone!!
Just wanted to say howdy and good Sunday Morning! Just found this site and looks pretty good.
I currently have 1 Basenji, his name is Khafra and 1 Shiba Inu, his name is Nemo. They're both 2 years old. I'll be getting another Basenji on the 17th of Feb and am really lookin forward to havin a little girl in the house!! Hope my boys appreciate it!!
I live in Seattle, WA and take my boys to the Magnuson dog park almost every weekend. I'm usually there VERY early in the morning, just to escape the crowds and let the boys play. Hope to see fellow NW Basenji lovers there some time.
Thanks,
Doug
