So im reading about basenjis right? i read that they like to steal your personal belongings and hide them right? so pilot would always go into this room, i always thought it was part of the sun that he liked to sun bathe in, so today i follow him this time and its neat a bed, but the mattress is shovedd under the bed right? but a little of it is sticking out, so theres like a little crevice that he went in, i looked in and saw chewed pencils, socks pens and all sorts of items pilot stole kinda funny in a way

Its been 2 days and every thing is alright! hes fine he eats fine goes to the bath room fine everything!

but i dont know if thats poisonous, or not

and about socialization he gets along with my rottweiler he protects him, plays with him so on

yeah… i dont use that crate anymore he was always scared of it, so i trashed it

I think i might know why she didnt like the crate if that was the issue? my pilot got shipped from oklahoma to san fransisco since then… hes hated that crate for as long as i can remember

bout half a golfball i just put in some rice and water, i was told rice was the best thing because it is easy to digest and ingest and one treat cut up in lil tiny pieces to make him more willing to eat it, he eats fine and hasnt pooped yet and i am keeping a close eye on him

Do you think he will be alright? do i need to get him to barf it out or come out the other end lol? i dont know what to do

Whenever he is sleeping his tail uncurls whenever he is awake it instantly curls and whenever he falls back asleep it doesnt curl!

Hey guys, whenever my basenji likes to cuddle up he always likes to burrow' his head into something is this natural or just the individual basenji

So im setting up clothes and then pilot comes over and steals it, and then brings it down stairs, i said pilot no! and he kept running,then when i catch up to him he wants to play tug o' war with it, he always does that!

Hi guys. just found out there was a basenji forum i own a 5 month old male akc tricolor basenji, and just would like to introduce my self. anyway, his name is pilot, he is very spoiled, and loves to bathe in the sun. he gets along great with a bigger rottweiler, named buloo, and learned sit in just 2 days! he loves to chew up the house and pillows and harass the cats anyway, so thats pilot for ya
