Forgot to add that we don't have any cats and the person who had Murphy for the week didn't have or doesnt have cats either. They had a cat a month or so ago, but can Cat hair or dander affect Murphy still so that he gets irritated? =(

Our dog Murphy has this same thing. Globs of goo on each of his eyes. We thought it was just because he was away for a week while we were on Vaca. But we woke up this morning and it was almost glued shut. White crusty stuff all over each eye. Wiped it off with a washcloth but keeps coming back. Doesn't seem to bother him though, he doesn't scratch at it or anything, just shuts his eyes a lot. any suggestions?
