I highly highly recommend The Collected Kona… It is a collection of stories all about a Basenji (several hilarious ones in there). You can find it on Amazon and Ebay I believe. Super cool book! :D

It was more of a joke to name him BoB.. we were having a conversation of why one shouldn't chose a name they don't want them to live up to and I joked that well I guess I had better name him BoB then incase he is one that wants to live up to their name! =D Today the new names are manny (a variation of Norwegian for moon) and Titan (one of Saturn's moons).

I told my aunt that we should just name him BoB… He will eventually fit a name, there are soooo many good suggestions I keep trying out all of them looking for the one that suits him! Thanks everyone for all the compliments we sure do love him and are looking forward to his future! :D

He still needs a call name…. so far we have tried kasey... bogey... ice cube (puppys opinion) nico... carter... dash... ringo... luna.. his registered name is Jumoke Baru's Mr. Moonlight!

It is so much fun to show! You win some you lose some… but in the end its all about going out meeting new people and seeing old friends. Last year was my first year showing... the dogs seem to like it (they know there will be plenty of yummy treats!) I think it is by far more stressful for us crazy humans then our thoroughly pampered pups!

I have had the luck of being involved with basenjis just about my entire life it actually amazes me that I am just now getting around to actually owning one!

We are getting a super handsome dark brindle boy from Bryan and Laurie Gregory's Jumoke Basenjis! Trying to come up with a name that plays off of Mr. Moonlight.

Soooo excited for the new addition to our family! Wonder who is going to wear out first? The border collies or the basenji puppy? Should be an interesting weekend!
