We are in Fairfax and we have always had 2 dogs, this is our first Basenji. Marie is a rescue dog from Lost Dogs and Cats Rescue Foundation.

My name is Judy & we have had Marie for 2 days now. Marie was a rescue dog, who came to Virginia via Okinawa. Apparently Marie had been running around on a military base, & living on her own before she was brought to the Rescue league.
Marie is very timid. I have found that I cannot make quick movements near her- she jumps away. But she is a very sweet girl. I hope I can make her happy.
