I've just started fostering dogs for a rescue group in Northern Idaho. My first is a 12wk old pup named Ruger. Basenji is a rare find in Northern Idaho, and most of the other fosters say Ruger is german shepherd mix with maybe hound. I don't see it, & I have had GSD all my life. This guy doesn't bark at all. Squirrels, cats, mules, other small barking dogs..... not a peep. But he does like to posture like a rabbit and leap onto moths. (See photo of posture) He made one small sequel and single bark last night in his crate. His tail doesn't curl tightly, but does curl when he is curious about something. Cute guy! Tell me what you think. Thanks!
