Hello! I live in the mountains of North Carolina. I am owned by a 12 year old Basenji. He has devloped cataracts which I feel are actually one of the diseases they tend to develop[can't remember it's name now.].
The biggist issue now is his claws: He has had a degeneration of the nail which has resulted in some very painful trips to the vet and suffering in general. His vet is very good and we are both doing research to investigate the cause of the problem.
I was thinking possibly hypothyroidism.
Do any of you have similair experiences and what do you think?
I hate to see my boy suffer so!
