I joined this forum because I have a 7-month-old female Basenji Chi mix name Bella, I could not figure out why she did not bark and noticed other peculiar things that I had not seen before, I started looking on the internet and saw a picture of what looked a lot like my Bella. Basenji ... the bark less dog. I was thrilled to find that there was a reason why my new baby was not barking, I kept reading and found other similarities, her tail curls slightly over her back, she sleeps in odd positions, she is so unique, full of energy and very strong willed. She can bark but it is very rare and only if she is afraid or I go out the front door to take out trash or something instead of putting her in the kennel. She is very small too, only weighs 12,8 lbs, I have tried and tried to send a message or figure out how to post but I have been unsuccessful, fi you read this, tell me if able what it takes to actually be able to communicate with others here.
