Calvin was 3 months when we rescued him, and he had no name, just a number. He was so funny as a
Puppy because of his short stubby legs. His ears developed early and were always perky.
He will occasionally let out a little howl while sleeping. It's only happened recently. Probably from a dream.
He is an absolutely AWESOME dog!

I new Hobbes when he was 10, and I came into the new home for me.
He was a good friend, and I miss him.

When we had Calvin boarded last week, the owner commented that
our dog is a Basenji mix. He is a wonderful dog and looks much like a couple
of the dogs on the site. I'll post a pic here soon so people can
See what a handsome dog he is.

I recently brought my dog, Calvin, to a well known board and day camp. The owner met Calvin and immediatly identified him as a Besinji mix. This spurred me to look at the breed and characteristics and behaviors my dog mimicked. Even though Calvin has a short stance, his overall size and stature could be a mix of Besinji and Corgi. He is a great tog.
