Introducing our new baby girl Mara Jade, we call her Jade. She was born in September and while we werent expecting to get a new pup so soon after losing our Leo, it was definitely meant to be.

@DebraDownSouth thank you....im heartbroken. Just picked up his paw print today from the vet so obviously I bawled like a baby as soon as I got in the car. It sounds like @eeeefarm s Perry had a similar issue to my Leo. Brothers but Leo was the small one in the litter and picked on by his siblings (according to Jan). He was the sweetest dog. Seems to be a trait a lot of Jan's pups have/had!

@eeeefarm unfortunately we just lost Leo on the 9th of this month. He was also an excellent dog. He did like tissues but thats all he would chew. We could leave him alone in the house uncrated and he wouldnt bother anything. They were amazing pups! We got Leo from Jan when he was about 14 weeks. I believe we met Perry while we were there meeting Leo for the first time but I cant be certain. I miss that dog like crazy.

@Nancy-Berry You make perfect sense! And I definitely want another Basenji in our lives. I have contacted Leo's breeder also and although she doesnt breed anymore she is close with another breeder who is planning on puppies soon and said she would recommend us. I sure hope that all works out. He has definitely filled my first chamber!!!

He truly was a sweetheart. I miss him so much, I feel a part of my heart has left me.

@DebraDownSouth thank you! I actually found my Leo's breeder and she has another breeder she knows that she is referring me too! I hope it works out!

@eeeefarm Im so sorry about your loss of Perry. Did you adopt him from Jan Bruner? If so, we adopted Perry's brother, Leo from Jan.
