Looked on Google and found these. The PDF file is one that the doctor/vet I used wrote.

I've had two with SARD's. First one I only had for two weeks but learned her way around pretty good, even outside. Second one I'd had for a couple of years so she adapted very well. She learned where the trees and fence was even when running. She even caught a gopher once by tracking it's smell down. Vet up at the U of W - Madison specialized in SARD's. Both had a companion to play with.

I just hate it when I see good dogs looking for homes. I picked up a Basenji mix last Jan to keep my other one that need a home. New one is missing a leg, only 1 1/2 old and a great companion. Long but bad story why no leg.
Dave
Welcome and enjoy! Hope you have both read up on what to expect. There are some owners real close to you and I'm about 60 miles West in Amherst. Been around them for 30 yaers and ought to know better but keep getting a new one.

Did a search and didn't see anything. Sad happening here in Wisconsin. If you are on Facebook or do a Google on "Justice for Mary the dog". you might really have a problem with this young women. I rescured a three legged Basenji mix last Jan that had been shot a couple time and hit by a car, great mix with the "B" I have. There are several petition out there.

@DAVE&PIPET:
WOW! Really? If you could do Eau Claire to Madison and hand off to MOTH, that is half the trip and a HUGE help (all you guy's have to go on my Christmas Card List). Let me know if you can do this and what day's in the next 5 day's work best. Tag the note onto MOTH's last post and also to me at dedavis321@yahoo.com >CHEERS DAVID - From Pipet & Dave
Moth has replied with which days she is available but still waiting for Dave's info. Hope he got my E-mail, it's in his hands now.
Another Dave
Well I can pick him up in Eau Claire, three hours each way and Madison is two hours South. I picked up my last half "B" over there in Jan. One of them retired guys so open most times.

I've had several pairs, first was a mother and daughter but had been seperated for a couple of years. After the first couple of "discussions", no problems. Next male/female pair got along again after getting to know each other. Added problem was that one was blind in one eye and the other went blind in both. They got along great for ten years. Last pair happened this Jan when I picked up a 1 1/2 years old male Basenj Fox Terrier mix mainly as a companion for my 3 years old female. "B" They hit off right on minuet one. The way they play fight and chase each other in the yard is fun to watch. The new one, the mix, is missing a front leg but can still out run/out corner the "B".
Dave
Welcome also! I'm just East a bit from you. In Jan I picked up a "B" mix from the Dunn County human society as a companion for my "B". Hope you find your's as enjoyable as most of us do. Sure adds a bit of "spark' to everyday living.
