Thanks for the welcome. I'm glad to hear it will get better. Right now he's skittish and scared of just about everything. Definitely more socialization is in order, I look forward to seeing fun playful behavior like I see on some of those youtube vids!

I've been reading the posts on here for a few months, so I thought I'd finally introduce myself. New owner here (4months), have had previous dogs, but new to the breed. After a lot of researching and taking of dog-breed quizzes for several years, I decided on a Basenji.

I'm very happy with the new addition to the family, who is currently 10 months old, and welcoming Triton has been a joy but a real challenge as well. (He failed his first puppy class!) I'm trying to be patient because everything I've come across tells me they are tough but they are worth it. :rolleyes:.
