i am deffinatly planning a puppy later in the year 2009/2010 but may consider an older dog sooner, ie ex brood bitch or ex stud dog or just something that may need a home. Im not interested in breeding so i will deffinatly consider a rescue, doesnt seem to be many older ones needing homes in the uk, which i guess in a way is a good thing lol

sorry not a basenji but im having problem training my daxie x jrt to go to the toilet outside, we are going on holiday next month and my mum is looking after him but has said she wont if hes not trained to go outside.

he goes to the toilet anywhere in the house he likes, especially on my carpet!! if i put him outside he runs about then comes inside and wee`s.

any tips would be greatly appreciated

with my first Basenji it will be purely pet, but im hopefully going to look at showing in the future. i will hopefully be attending some shows this year to meet owners and there dogs, if there is one near enough for me to get to, unfortunatly at the moment i dont drive

so far only found 1 breeder planning a litter at the end of this year and thats Dencas aka tracey holmes, am i kinda on her waiting list been told to contact her again in october.
