Doomsday Preppers on Nat Geo
Hi All
We recently worked with the wonderful crew at Doomsday Preppers on the National Geographic Channel and the episode will be premiered tomorrow evening. If you have not watched the show before, it is definitely worth some of your time. Quite a bit of fun and some educational stuff to boot. I'm not sure if our B's made it on the show or not but we can't wait to see!
Also, stay tuned for more details as we prepare for our work on a Manhunting TV show due to film later this month.

Capt. Arthur Haggerty Award
Hi All,
I was surprised and very much flattered to hear that I was awarded the Arthur J. Haggerty Award from the Alliance of Pure Breed Dog Writers for my book, K9 Trailing; The Straightest Path. This is a very special honor considering the person for whom this award was named. Arthur J. Haggerty was an icon in the K9 world and his accomplishments were many. Babette Haggerty, APDW Director and daughter of the late ?Captian? Arthur J. Haggerty, will introduce me and present the award on the Sunday prior to Westminster, Feb. 12, 2012. I'm excited to meet Babette and learn more about this very prestigious group of people! Click on the link below to learn more about Captain Haggerty and the APDW.
K9 trailing does have Basenjis in it,believe it or not, because I site some of their natural ability to use their wonderful noses. If any B people will be in Manhattan the Saturday and Sunday prior to Westminster, look me up…though I will not have my B's, I would sure like to meet some of yours!

RE: Incredible Climbing Basenji
Uh-Oh that one is T-R-O-U-B-L-E
Your forgot multiple exclamation point!!! But, this litter was all about agility and ability. What was amazing is all the pups had varying degrees of similar ingeniousness.

Incredible Climbing Basenji
Check out this video of 9 week old Jaroufa's Glamazon at Rift Valley is quite the agility queen. She went to her new home today thanks to my good friend/ driver and combat tracking mentor, Frank Merritt. We will miss the dark brindle girl but she is going to one of the top racing homes in the country and that is what this litter was all about.

Meet Kilo-Georgia K9's New Narcotics Detection Pup
I would like to formally introduce Kilo to the Basenji world. He was our pick of our working basenji litter. Kilo was thoroughly tested for working traits for scent detection. He is nine weeks old and begins his formal training now. This training will consist of environmental desensitization, puppy play groups, lots of play related to detection, and his first odor introduction. This is pic is of Kilo meeting Valco, a wonderful GSD owned and handled by our Kennel Master, Phoebe Bault.
