Ours has allergies but not to food. The vet said less than 25% of dogs have food allergies. We have her on Apoquel 16 mg. Check with your vet. It has really helped with the pink skin and chewing on herself.

I foster for a rescue called Evergreen Animal Protective League (EAPL) in Colorado. Currently am fostering a Basenji who had a skin condition when I first got her and has food allergies so joined this site to learn more about them.

Hi Charlie, I am fostering a Basenji for a rescue, EAPL (Evergreen Animal Protective League) in Colorado. Just found out today that Bonnie is pregnant and due to have 4 pups in a couple of weeks. Check EAPL's website periodically as they will be posted for adoption when they are ready if you're still looking.
