Agree with @elbrant and I'd like to add, when you return be very matter of fact, do not make a big fuss, particularly if she is excited and effusive in her greeting to you. Sure, acknowledge her if you must but don't make any sort of big deal out of it. Go about your business, e.g. if you've been shopping, put your things away before spending any time with her. Your goal is to make your absence just part of a normal routine, nothing to be excited about. I've had two separation anxiety dogs, and you know you have won the battle when the dog just glances at you in an "oh, you're back" way and doesn't bother getting off the couch! Yes, people like it when their dog greets them and makes a big fuss, but if you feed that behaviour you give too much emphasis to your absence and that can grow into anxiety in your dog.

Need help finding shoes for my Basenji. Any recommendations?
-
I'm assuming you want them for temps and snow... and personally, I'm not in a climate that would benefit from doggy shoes. I'm sure there are members who are, perhaps they will offer up a favorite brand.

@elbrant Thankyou. Yeah, just waiting for other members to reply & help me out here. Yes, I need shoes for winter. Where we stay, it snows a lot, and sometimes when we go out for walking then, his paws catch some ice salts, which I had read was not good, especially because he licks his paws, and those chemicals go into his body.
I had searched on Google also for snow safety shoes. Found this article somewhat useful: https://doggyshoe.com/winter-dog-boots-snow-protection/. But again, they have given so many options, and I need one perfect for him. So, has anyone ever tried any of the shoes they are recommending?

You're right, lots of options! I kinda chuckled at the "comfort score"... just wondering how they came up with that data.

We use ones from Rukka. Not sure if they’re available everywhere but they are they best ones we have tried (others always fell off, especially in deep snow). I think having two Velcro closures on each sock has been key. I also prefer the soft shell ones as our B seems to accept them more and they don’t twist as much as the ones with a hard sole.
Here are the ones I am referring to: https://rukkapets.com/paw-wear/thermal-shoes-black
