Hello again;
Does anyone know a veterinarian who is used to seeing basenjis near Miami? Unfortunately, my basenji is the only one in his pet clinic and we would like to see a vet that is more familiar with basenjis and their treatments.
I live in the east suburbs of Pittsburgh. I take my B to Norwin Veterinary Associates. Ask for Dr. Harvey Bendix, if he is available. He diagnosed Senji with his liver disease and basically saved his life. He's open to alternative as well as traditional medicine.
We had the same problem when Seti was a puppy. It turned out that he had crystals in his bladder due to the food we were giving him (I think it was Wellness brand but not entirely sure). We changed his diet and it went away and has never come back. Hopefully your problem is minor like ours!
