I am surprised that BT Rescue in FL does not have any potential adopter(s) interested in a young female! I am glad I do not live close as I would want to bring her home although looks too active for my older Bs.
I saw this girl listed again on Craigslist by the rescue group. If you know anyone interested in a young B mix in the TX area, please let them know about this girl. It states no cats but she is good with school aged children! Only $125 for adoption.
I am glad this boy is going to BRAT! I hope he is still socialized even after being kenneled that long.
I do not understand why non specific breed rescues take in dogs and then leave them kenneled for months! I understand temporary kenneling until one can find a foster home but for months. I have read about this happening too many times and I did not realize how often this occurs. I monitor the Urgent Part 2-Urgent Death Row Dogs Facebook page which monitors the NYCACC shelters and I have seen dogs posted on its site where a dog has been rescued from the shelter and then sits in a kennel for months. I know people want to save dogs but it is expensive for kenneling and this is how rescues become hoarders! There is also an all breed rescue group in IN that solicits funds to pay for boarding.
I feel like I know you. I have read your stuff on Brat. I am glad that you are getting the word out on Brat. Mabel, My B was adopted from there. I cannot say enough good things about people in that organization.
Actually I'm in that organization. We are good people. Mabel's foster was very helpful with helping me understand her behavior. I think a lot of it was due to fact Mabel is an alpha female.
