My husband and I adopted this sweet girl from a rescue last month. At 7 months old (currently) and 20lbs, we were told that she was likely a husky x terrier mix. Having done some research, I'm convinced she's part basenji. I've not heard her bark once; only howl/yodel. She's EXTREMELY smart, and easily bored. She's great with people and other dogs, and has the sweetest personality. She's still warming up to us but I think she will definitely be a cuddler. She has a bit of the triangular shaped head, though her nose is more square. She has the always erect ears and the curly tail. The only thing the rescue knew about her was that she had been found wandering out on a country road, and someone picked her up and tried to give her away for free on Facebook before the rescue intervened.
That being said, I have NO IDEA where the white coat/blue eyes came from. She has the bluest eyes I've ever seen in a dog! Has anyone here ever seen a basenji mix like this? I get stopped all the time by people wanting to know what she is, and I don't have a clue what to tell them!
(She doesn't stand still for very long, so it's difficult to get a profile shot haha)
