Hi everyone, knew to the forum but glad I found it!! I'll be getting my 9 week old red & white basenji-Finley in 2 weeks! I can't wait. I have some pictures of him that ill upload!

I forgot I was registered for Basenji Forums until I got your email. I will reply to it privately, but I can tell the others on here that health testing has been done on the parents of my planned litter this year. Both have had hips done, been Fanconi tested and had eyes tested. The stud has also had thyroid done. I hope to get thyroid done on the bitch before breeding season.

Hi Lisa,
My husband and I live in Winston Salem, NC and have a 2 year old basenji. We have been trying to find other basenji owners in the area as well, as well as a basenji friend for our dog to play with. I am really excited to know that someone else nearby loves basenjis!

Took Ramsey to a dog park today, first time. He did very well, no fights and there was around 20 dogs there running loose. He did hold his ground with every dog and even pushed the line a little with some of the larger dogs. All in all a good day for Rams! We have never really trusted him or the other dogs enough to take him to a dog park but today we said what the heck and Ramsey showed us that he can socialize with the best of them.
