Hi,
My name is Gail. My husband and I have been reading online about Basenji's for a few months. They sound so amazing. This will be our first family dog (we have 4 kids), and we think their personality sounds fun. They sound perfect for us! We are looking to see if there are any breeders in Southern CA. I just joined your forums site tonight and am browsing around.

In my case 3-4 hours would be nice. Here where I live it is 2.5 hrs to Liyah's breeders and then another 6-9 hours to anywhere there was a major (NY - PA) last year. I'd LOVE 3-4 hrs. :D:D:D

Yeah, I hear you. For majors it's a different story. Unless I'm really lucky at the two regional specialities (which I'm pretty fortunate to have easy access to) every other major will be a 6+ drive. Lure coursing will probably be worse! :rolleyes:

How adorable! we are in westminster,MD close to baltimore, and I visit newark Delaware often. so were not to far away!

I feel the same way about my "B". she is my life! I wasnt even a "dog" person before her. I love how challenging she is! She reminds me of myself!
