I just wish they had mentioned where they were, my first thought was Alaska, but some of the other states have moose as well.

That guy is my hero! We met a man a few years ago with a 3-legged lab, he had dived in and fought a gator to save his dog. The dog lost a front leg (Gators have really nasty mouths) but was happy and healthy…and alive!

but I dont know if she matches up older dogs with older ppl - she does adopt them out though. 🙂

made my heart melt, and my eyes get a bit watery - so I had to "godparent" a dog.

That's a good idea to become a godmother, I'll check the site; I felt like you when a saw a program on TV, as the person who looks after older dogs lets elderly people adopt them and if they die, she takes the dogs back! All the dogs were crippled, half blind, no teeth, etc,etc, I was nearly in tears at the end of the programme, getting too sentimental I think! Saying that, the dogs looked much happier than a lot of elderly people in old people's homes!

I saw this show for the first time last night. I didn't think it was sad, because the nice doggy gets adopted into a home where the people have been evaluated and dog is placed with people who are best suited for the individual dog. It's like a reality game and they all know only one home gets the dog. The people know they might not get that dog. But I'm glad that the people who don't win on the show, will probably adopt and rescue another well deserving dog. Just my take . . . but I only saw the one show.
